Shanghai, China, March 24, 2025 - Cadence Electronics (NASDAQ: CDNS) today announced the expansion of its multi-year partnership with NVIDIA to focus on accelerating computing and agent AI. The cooperation aims to address key global technological challenges, promote innovation and development in various industries, and achieve substantive breakthroughs.
adence drives innovation across multiple industries by integrating NVIDIA's accelerated computing technology. Based on NVIDIA's latest Blackwell architecture, Cadence? A range of engineering and scientific solutions enable massive acceleration, enabling designers to tackle bigger and more complex problems that were previously difficult to solve. The results of this cooperation are as follows:
Reduced computational fluid dynamics simulation time by up to 80 times, from days to tens of minutes;
Cadence Spectre X Simulator speeds up to 10x;
3D-IC design and up to 7 times faster for thermal, stress and warpage analysis.
The Cadence Fidelity CFD platform uses Blackwell to solve the most complex fluid dynamics problems
Cadence uses the NVIDIA Blackwell platform to help solve one of the biggest challenges in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) : simulating the entire aircraft during the most challenging part of the flight envelope, during takeoff and landing. With the Cadence Fidelity CFD platform, Cadence successfully ran simulations of billions of grid cells on NVIDIA GB200 Gpus in less than 24 hours. Previously, the simulation relied on a Top 500 CPU cluster with hundreds of thousands of cores and took days to complete. Cadence will continue to leverage the limits of Blackwell test simulation to help the aerospace industry reduce wind tunnel testing, reduce costs and accelerate the time-to-market process.
Cadence is also working with NVIDIA to develop full-stack agent AI solutions for electronic system design and scientific applications. The collaboration will introduce breakthrough agent technology that integrates the Cadence JedAI platform with NVIDIA's NeMo Generative AI framework and the newly released NVIDIA Llama Nemotron inference model to improve design productivity, such as:
Intelligent conversational AI assistant to improve user productivity and innovation;
Deep validation reasoning based on the underlying design resources and validation agents;
Design generation and optimization of digital and custom circuits with design agents.
In addition, Cadence Molecular Sciences (OpenEye) is combining NVIDIA BioNeMo NIM microservices with Cadence's cloud-native molecular design platform, Orion? Integrate. The collaboration aims to accelerate innovation in drug discovery tools by combining superior cloud-based AI and GPU technologies. Orion's ground-breaking on-demand and reserved GPU access enables scientists around the world to perform large-scale, complex computing and revolutionize therapeutic drug design. NIM microservices extend Orion's capabilities as follows:
An AI model for heavy-headed prediction of protein three-dimensional structure;
Small molecule generative AI;
Basic AI model for predicting antibody properties.
Cadence is leveraging NVIDIA's advanced digital twin technology to accelerate the build of AI infrastructure. Cadence is proud to be one of the first companies to adopt NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint for AI factory digital twins. This collaboration drives the creation of consistent and accurate models to enable the rapid development of data center digital twins. NVIDIA Omniverse Viewport, Cadence Allegro? X Design Platform and Cadence Reality? The integration of the Digital Twin Platform enables designers to gain a more accurate insight into the entire electronic system design process from a new perspective. Downstream users can use the data for analysis and use in areas such as device and BOM management, manufacturing interfaces, system-level quality, and mechanical and industrial design. NVIDIA and Cadence are at the forefront of building an ecosystem of high-quality models, opening the door for device manufacturers and data center companies to quickly and confidently create digital twin solutions.
"Cadence is accelerating AI-driven EDA and system design and analytics workloads on NVIDIA's latest Grace Blackwell NVL72 platform. We can help deliver infrastructure AI and agent AI that meet today's needs and reshape the simulation foundations of physical AI and scientific AI." Said Dr. Anirudh Devgan, President and CEO of Cadence. "With these technological breakthroughs, we are able to perform simulations of complex systems at scale that were previously impossible to achieve in hours, including some of the largest and most accurate simulations of complete machines to date."
"Accelerated computing and agent AI are redefining the standard of innovation across industries." Jen-hsun Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. "Together, NVIDIA and Cadence continue to push the boundaries of technology, making significant advances in simulation, optimization and design that help increase efficiency, reduce time to market, and push scientific exploration to new heights."
